Board
The CRONA Board is composed of eight nurses who work at Stanford and Packard Hospitals. Elections are held every two years and anyone who is a member in good standing can and is encouraged to run for office.
It is the responsibility of the Board to represent the nurses by ensuring compliance with the contract and assisting with members’ problems. In addition, the Board and elected members negotiate the contracts.
The Board members are paid up to the equivalent of 3.5 full time positions, divided among the officers, depending upon hours worked. In addition, each Hospital provides the CRONA Board with thirty-two hours to be used for CRONA business.
Each unit is entitled to a representative for every 20 members. These are called Area Representatives and they also are elected every two years. If units have vacancies, members can volunteer to fill the vacancy and the Board will appoint them.
Other elected positions are the Negotiation Committees, the Ballot and Election Committee and the Bylaws Committee.
The current officers are listed below.
