Dear CRONA Nurses,

Open enrollment for medical benefits that will take effect in January 1, 2012 will start the last week of October 2011. The Benefits Office in Human Resources has mailed flyers to your last known addresses and as recorded in econnect. Please check your mails.

There are significant changes. For example, United Health Care will replace Anthem Blue Cross. We were told that 96% of the current providers are covered under United Health Care. HMO will be available only through Kaiser. The free plan is available through the PPO.

CRONA has requested meetings to cover all shifts. We also requested that meetings be held at Washington and Redwood City campuses. We encourage you to attend one of these meetings. In addition, we encourage you to frequently check your hospital email and USPS mail.
